Couple of good reads from my summer:

Trick of the Mind by Derren Brown
Bad Science by Ben Goldacre

both of which give some great insight into reason, evidence, perception and the relationships between them. And the Derren Brown book contained memory tricks which I've actually found useful.

Interesting list. Here is my contribution for some summer reading for those who are getting to grips with new media or looking to change the world

The wisdom of crowds by James Surowiecki

Here comes everyone by Clay Shirkey

The Long tail by Chris Anderson

Predictably irrational by Dan Ariely

:59 seconds by Richard Wiseman

My top fiction choices are

Fine Balance by Rohinton Minstry ( be warned not very cheery!)

The Ragged Trousered Philandthropist by Robert Tressell

The diary of a nobody by Grossmith

Happy reading!
